Standing Frame Album {The Twinery & Nikki Sivils}

Both today and tomorrow designers from The Twinery and Nikki Sivils Design Teams are joining up for a Product Showcase!

This isn't a traditional hop...to get the links for all the participating designers please visit The Twinery's blog and the Nikki Sivils blog.

If you aren't already a follower here, I'd love to have you follow my blog!

For my project I wanted to take a step away from the cards I usually make. I've made a few mini albums recently and have really enjoyed them and I wanted to take it a little farther and change it up a little bit.
I used the Messages Collection Kit from Nikki Sivils and The Twinery's twine in Flax, Caribbean, and Buttercream to create this standing frame mini album.

I love the colors in the Messages Collection Kit. It is a fabulous color palette that is perfect for masculine or fall projects, but can easily be brightened up with a few extra pops of color. (I loved pairing it with The Twinery's Caribbean twine.)

For the majority of my "pages" in this album I cut out the images from the "Organizing Files" paper.
I took the basic design of the card pockets and cut out an additional layer which I adhered to create a usable pocket.
I cut a few inserts from another paper in the kit and tucked them into the pockets - perfect for adding journaling.

In addition to the pocket pages I mixed in a couple of thin acrylic sheets, a doily, and a few die cuts and punched papers from the Messages Collection Kit.
Throughout the album I also added touches of The Twinery's twine in Flax, Caribbean, and Buttercream.
I love the additional texture and dimension that the twine adds...not to mention the great pops of color.

I am so thankful that you stopped by today!
