The Project:
For this card I used the awesome Doily stamp. I actually took the stamp and very carefully cut it into two parts (shhhh...don't tell Angelica!) so that I can use the inner circle, the outer ring, or put them together to use it as it was originally created.

I stamped the inner circle and embossed it with clear embossing powder. Once the embossing was set I went over the whole panel with Distress Stains. When they were wiped away it left the image underneath. I added a little bit of shimmery mist and then stamped the outer ring a few times with watermark ink.
To finish it off I added the sentiment from Simple Salutations and assembled my card.

Thanks for stopping by today!

  7. Wow! I don't have the guts to cut my stamps apart. I'm insane enough that if I was going to do it, I would just order another stamp so I would have three: one whole and two parts...but this looks FANTASTIC!
