Splendid {Authentique Paper}

{As seen today on the Authentique Paper blog}

I love the 6x6 Bundles from Authentique Paper for creating cards, but even if I cover the front of a standard A2 card, I still have small scrap strips left over.

I don't want to throw away those beautiful scraps, so I save them to use for cards like these:

Using a few coordinating strips as a base gives a great start to any card (and is an easy way to make a quick coordinating card set).

You can create a simple look by adding a simple stamped sentiment, or you can add layers of embellishments to create a vintage look.

For this card set I layered on doilies, vintage playing cards, buttons, twine, string, and twill ribbons.

What do you do with your scraps?

Thanks for coming by today!

  1. Adorable cards. Love the vintage playing cards. I keep most all of my paper scraps and try to use them before cutting into a new full sheet of paper!!
