One more...

Pictures at night don't work so well...especially with shiny magazine pages. If you'd like to view it larger, click on the image.

10th time is a charm, right? Here is my submission for yet another Earth Day challenge. The challenge was to use something from a magazine. The patterned squares are cut from my Kitchen & Bath magazine. (A subscription I somehow ended up with when one of my cool magazines got canceled...at least now I know what to do with it - cut it up!)

Here are the details on the supplies I used for this card:
Stamp: Studio G
Ink: Studio G
Papers & Embellishments: The Paper Company, DMC embroidery floss, buttons from my stash (probably from WalMart)

If you want to see my other challenge projects, scroll down (each project is in a separate post).

Blue, Green, & Brown Card

(Click on the image to view it larger)

This is a very simple card just using the colors blue, green, and brown. The paper with writing is from an old Chicken Little book (one time in the original and then one time scanned in and the text converted to a green color), and then there's some paper bag and mini graph paper on there also. I wasn't sure if the challenge required stamping or not, and I actually didn't "stamp" on it, but I did use lots of ink.

Here are the details on the supplies I used for this card:
Ink: Tim Holtz Distress Ink
Embellishments: Swirl Clip from OTC
Papers: old book, notebook graph paper, paper bag, and base from The Paper Company

Chicken Little

(Click on the image to view it larger)

This card was created for a "one layer" challenge. The image is from an old book we have (50's era, I think) - Chicken Little. You can't tell much from the photo, but I used a craft knife to cut out a few details and "fluffed" them up to give it a little dimension. It's all still attached as one layer, just with a little extra oomph! And of course, the Stickles never show up as well on camera as they do in real life.

Here are the details on the supplies I used for this card:
Stamps: Autumn Leaves
Ink: Tim Holtz Distress Ink
Coloring: BIC Mark It
Embellishments: Stickles

Happy Birthday

This card was done for an "old text" challenge. The text and pictures are from an old school reader (I believe 50's era).

Ink: Tim Holtz Distress Ink
Attachments: Thread from sewing supplies
Embellishments: Prima flowers, Stickles, notebook paper

Tools of the Trade

Anyone who knows me knows I love anything little. Those who have crafted with me know I love all things Tim Holtz. Well, now Tim is my hero because he created this:

A stapler with staples that are just barely bigger than 1/4"! How cute! I have been looking for something like this for a long time. I even tried to find a stapler like they use on tea bags (but they only seem to come in huge industrial sizes...which would be a TAD overkill for crafting purposes).

Anyway, I am so excited. And...I just won one on his blog! YIPPEE!
