Market Street Stamps - March Release
Today I am giving you a little taste of each of the new stamp sets and backgrounds from Market Street Stamps!
First, let's take a gander at the AWESOME background...ZEBRA PRINT!
How fun is that???
I immediately fell in love with it the second I saw it. It is so fun!
{And although I've stamped it in black, don't limit yourself to black and white only. Go WiLd with that Zebra Print Background!}
You may also spy that fun sentiment *cough* Hippie Chic *cough*.
And take a peek at those buttons...there's a little hint of Vintage Music shining through!
The sentiment got a quick and easy treatment thanks to some Spellbinders dies and I topped everything off with some twine from The Twinery.
And next up is FASHIONISTA! This is such a fun set...even for a girl like me who does NOT wear high heels!
I did some stamp masking {or is it mask stamping?} to create the background and then used that cute sentiment to finish it off.
Hope you enjoyed the peeks! Stay tuned for the full reveal of the stamp sets tomorrow on the Market Street Stamps blog!
{And have fun shopping at Market Street Stamps tomorrow night at midnight!}

Past, Present, and Future
Six months ago I had not been a full time Design Team Member for any company.
Today, I am currently designing projects for two fabulous manufacturers and one online store:
{The Twinery}
{Market Street Stamps}
{A Walk Down Memory Lane}
Six months ago I had never had anything accepted for publication in a print magazine.
But...six months ago I received my first ever acceptance e-mail from an editor at Paper Crafts Magazine requesting two of my projects for publication!
It seemed like forever waiting for the day when I would be able to see my work in print...TODAY is the day!
Beginning with this issue I am scheduled to have at least one project published in print each month for the next six months.
All together I am scheduled to have 12 projects printed in 9 publications from from 2 major publishing companies...it is truly a dream come true!
Here's a peek at one of my projects from the Paper Crafts Special Issue: 350 Cards and Gifts.
{You'll have to pick up a copy to see my other project and the rest of the awesome projects in the issue. My projects are on pages 52 & 91.}
I have always loved crafting and I thank God for blessing me with these fabulous opportunities.
I may never have anything published again...or maybe I will.
For now, I am just enjoying the blessings I have been given and looking forward to what else the future might bring!
Supplies:
Patterned paper: (Travel Skirt, On Holiday) The Girls’ Paperie by Margie;
Paint: (Cardinal Crimson) Apple Barrel Colors; (True Red) Americana;
Accent: (Silver/Wire) The Beadery; (Red/Felt) The Kunin Group;
Tool: (Round N Round Squeeze Punch – Medium) Fiskars; Round N Round Squeeze Punch – Large) Fiskars; Round N Round Squeeze Punch – Extra Large) Fiskars; Seal Of Approval Squeeze Punch – Medium) Fiskars; (Micro-Tip® Easy Action Scissors) Fiskars;
Other: (Wooden Bag) Michaels;

Hello Sunshine
Twine is hot right now in crafting and AWDML carries a fabulous selection!
Let's take a look at the awesome twine from The Twinery...
What you may notice about the twine from The Twinery is that it is very colorful. Traditional bakers twine generally has one strand of color twisted with 3 strands of white. The Twinery's twine has double the color to add a great pop of color to your cards and layouts.
The Twinery's twine is 100% cotton and eco-friendly so you don't have to save it just for paper crafting. It is perfect for packaging baked goods, wrapping gifts, and you can also mix it into your party decor.
{And here's a little bonus - The Twinery's twine is all made in the USA.}
For this card I've tied the Caribbean twine in a bow and used it to top off the "i" - what will you do with your twine?
Here's a sketch for you sketch lovers:
Supplies:
Patterned Paper: Doodlebug Designs - Various Orange Accent Papers
Letter Stickers: American Crafts - Thickers
Twine: The Twinery - Caribbean
Pen: Ranger - Opaque White Pen
Tools: EK Success/Martha Stewart - Scoring Board; Fiskars - Paper Trimmer

Celebrate YOU
Here's another one of my "reject" cards from the recent Paper Crafts magazine calls. This one uses sketch #6.
{Again, you can see all the sketches here.}
Like my previous card this one uses the For The Record collection from Echo Park - Echo Park really did awesome on this collection!
{Who am I kidding? ALL of their collections are awesome.}
I got my inspiration for this card from the Get Daring with Decorative Tape Challenge in the Moxie Fab World. I used the Tim Holtz Tissue Tape on both the front and the inside of the card. I've been going tape cRazY lately and I sure love the tissue tape! It gives a nice accent but is still transparent enough to get a little glimpse of what is underneath.
Thanks for stopping by and stay tuned...I have more "reject" cards coming soon!
Supplies:
Cardstock: (Paper Bag) Kraft Outlet
Patterned paper: (Tablecloth, Advertisement, Lace Strips, For the Record collection) Echo Park,
Sticker: (Alpha Stickers "border" "celebrate" "you", For the Record collection) Echo Park,
Tool: (scoring board) Martha Stewart, paper trimmer, (Upper Crest Border Punch) Fiskars, (Deco Corner Chomper) We R Memory Keepers

Pat On The Back
Good news today: I got an acceptance e-mail from Paper Crafts magazine!
One of my cards that I submitted was accepted for publication and you should be able to see it this August in the Go-to Sketches for Card Makers Special Issue. {It hits the shelves the day after my birthday!}
This card {one of my many "rejects"} was also created using the same sketch from my card that was accepted {sketch #33} - it looks very, VERY different from the card that was accepted. They are totally different styles but I love them both in their own little ways.
{You can see all the sketches for the call here.}
There is lots of goodness from For The Record {one of the new Echo Park Paper collections}.
Of course I've also added some twine from The Twinery - love that new charcoal color! {I inked it up with some Distress Ink to make it flow better with the colors of the card.}
I got some of my inspiration for this card from the recent Get Daring with Decorative Tape Challenge in the Moxie Fab World. I used the Tim Holtz tissue tape to add some ruffles behind the sentiment and beneath the twine.
Thanks for stopping by!
Supplies:
Cardstock: (French Vanilla) Bazzill
Patterned paper: (Apron Strings, Noteworthy, Stamp of Approval, Vintage Linen, For the Record collection) Echo Park,

Sticker: (Element Stickers, For the Record collection) Echo Park,
Fibers: (Charcoal, twine) The Twinery
Tool: (ruler) Tim Holtz, (scoring board) Martha Stewart, paper trimmer, (Upper Crest Border Punch) Fiskars,
Other: black tulle

Enjoy Your Birthday
Today kicks off the 8th Anniversary Crop at A Walk Down Memory Lane and so I thought that I would share a birthday card I made for the occasion:
I created this sketch and flipped it for the card.
I added Pink Paislee's Artisan Tape in place of the flowers thanks to an inspiring challenge to use decorative tape from Moxie Fab World.
Thanks to another Moxie Fab World challenge it is also sprayed with Perfect Pearls Mist.
Supplies:
Cardstock: Bazzill, Georgia Pacific
Stamps: Unity Stamp Company, Hero Arts
Ink: Tsukineko {VersaMagic - Jumbo Java}, Memento {Rich Cocoa}
Tape: Pink Paislee {Orange}
Mist: Ranger {Perfect Pearls - Perfect Copper}
