Quick, Easy, & CUTE Card Set

I created this super quick & easy card set using Pink Paislee papers from the Daily Junque collection (so cute!) and topped it off with a little vintage embellishment and a simple "Thank You" stamp from the Hippie Chic stamp set from Market Street Stamps. I started off making this as a quick way to whip up four cards, but I absolutely LOVE how it turned out!
To tie it all together (literally) I wrapped it up in some of The Twinery's Honeydew twine.

I really don't know what else to say about it...so I'll let the pictures do the talking:

Supplies:
Patterned Paper: Pink Paislee (Daily Junque Collection)
Stamps: Market Street Stamps (Hippie Chic Set);
Ink: Memento (Tuxedo Black);
Twine: The Twinery (Honeydew);
Tools: Ranger (Tiny Attacher & Tiny Staples); EK Success: Martha Stewart (scoring board); Fiskars (paper trimmer); Fiskars (1/4" Circle Hand Punch); Fiskars (Scalloped Circle Squeeze Punch);
Other: Vintage Invoice Paper

Release Week! {Market Street Stamps}

This is a fun week at Market Street Stamps - release week!

Be sure to check out the blog all week long for projects using the June release stamps and then head over to the MARKETplace at the end of the week to get your hands on the new stamps.

I worked with the new Compass set to create these ATCs {Artist Trading Cards}.

I love the clean and simple look that was created by stamping the compass image in each of the three purple hues and the sentiment over the image in black.

I was inspired by my son (who loves to create treasure maps) to distress a few of the cards:

The base cards and stamped images were all the same - but the distressing creates quite a different look.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Supplies:
Cardstock: (White) Georgia Pacific;

Ink: (Purple Hydrangea, Spring Pansy, Perfect Plumeria) Tsukineko; (Tuxedo Black) Memento; (Walnut Stain, Vintage Photo, Tea Dye, Antique Linen) Ranger;

Echo Park - "Fresh Faces" Call

The Little Girl collection from Echo Park just has something so cheery about it, doesn't it?
I thought it was the perfect fit for making a mini album.
The mini album is created by adhering the Little Girl papers to acrylic ornaments, and is finished off with a fun twine pompom.

Supplies:
Papers: Echo Park {Little Girl Collection};
Stickers: Echo Park {Little Girl Collection};
Acrylic: Peachy Keen Stamps {Large Acrylic Round Ornament Set}, Peachy Keen Stamps {Large Acrylic Star Ornament Set};
Twine: The Twinery {Blossom, Caribbean, Lilac, Pink Sorbet};
Other: Fiskars {Craft Knife}; Ranger {Glossy Accents}; Martha Stewart {scoring board}; Fiskars {paper trimmer};

This card was inspired by the great papers in the For The Record collection.
The colors, patterns, and embellishments work so well together and can create a variety of looks.
And I love that sentiment!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Bazzill {French Vanilla};
Patterned paper: Echo Park {Apron Strings, Noteworthy, Stamp of Approval, Vintage Linen from the For the Record collection};
Ink (dye): Ranger {Antique Linen};
Color media: Sharpie {Black/Pen. - Medium};
Accent: Queen & Co. {Nightfall/rhinestones};Tim Holtz {Nostalgic/tissue tape}; Prima {Artful Collage #523831/flowers}; Prima {Green/rose Leaves #170691};
Sticker: Echo Park {Element Stickers, For the Record collection;
Twine: The Twinery {Charcoal};
Tool: Tim Holtz {ruler}; Martha Stewart {scoring board}; Fiskars {paper trimmer}; Fiskars {Upper Crest Border Punch};

A Walk In The Park is still one of my favorite collections from Echo Park - I love the great color scheme and the adorable images.
The butterflies in particular sparked the idea for this card:

Book Binding with Twine - {The Twinery}

I'd like to share with you a project I created using The Twinery's twine for book binding.
{And if you'd like to see another way to bind with The Twinery's twine, be sure you've checked out this post.}

I wasn't sure when I started this book (and I am still not sure) what it will be used for, so I created pockets on the inside of the front and back cover and also added one cover-weight page in the middle with a pocket.
You can always find a use for pockets, right?

The size of the completed book is 8 1/2" x 5 1/2". {The covers and inner pages are all the same finished size.}

To create the pockets, I cut a sheet of double-sided patterned paper to 8 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 3" and folded up to create a pocket. I added washi tape to the edges to hold the pockets in place, but you can easily use traditional adhesive instead.

I stacked the pages and covers and carefully lined them up. I punched holes 1/2" in from the edge at 1/2", 1 5/8", 2 3/4", 3 7/8", and 5".
{I added a score mark 1/2" from the edge before punching the holes to make turning the covers a bit smoother.}

I took a long length of twine and threaded the holes as follows:
• Down #3
• Up #4
• Down #5
• Up over bottom edge
• Down #5
• Up #4
• Down #2 {Yes, we skipped #3 on purpose.}
• Up #1
• Down over top edge
• Up #1
• Down #2
• Up #3 {Here you have a piece of twine stretched between #2 and #4 - you should have each of the two loose ends on opposite sides of the stretched portion of twine. You can see what I mean in the photo below.}

{A little tip: add a touch of washi tape to the end of your twine - kind of like a shoelace - for easy threading.}

I bound the book with Honeydew twine, but added in a little touch of Pink Sorbet and Lemondrop for a great color pop in the bow!

I made sure the bow was very tight and then snipped the loops of the bow to create this look:

And here is a look at the finished product:

The Twinery/PSA Essentials: {Blog Hop}

Hello!

If you are here for the PSA Essentials/The Twinery 5-Day Blog Hop, you should have come from Marie Ramirez's blog.
If you haven't started at the beginning, be sure to head back to The Twinery's blog so you can follow along on the hop!
(And don't forget, there will be 5 more great projects to see tomorrow!)

I created some quick & easy tags using The Twinery's Pink Sorbet twine along with the PSA Essentials stamper, alignment tool, Brown & Pink ink, and PSA Originals: Little Bunny stamp pack.

Any of these tags would be perfect for topping a baby shower gift, but they would also be great for creating coordinated baby shower decor. You can tie them around suckers for party favors or even adhere them to pin backs and use them as name tags (just use a coordinated color marker to write in guest's names).

{If you'd like to know how to easily tie a bow with your twine, check out my "Tying a Perfect Twine Bow" tutorial.}
