Decorated Gift Jar {Handmade Holidays}

{As seen today on the Authentique Paper blog}

This project is quick and easy (& beautiful) thanks to Authentique Paper's deeply textured papers!

To start, grab some basic canning jars - you can find these in many stores usually in sets of 12 for under $10.

Pick some lovely patterned papers from one (or more) of Authentique Paper's current collections and adhere the lid (without the band) with a strong adhesive to the back side of your patterned paper.

With Authentique Paper you have two beautiful sides to pick from...so you'll need to adhere the lid to the side you won't have showing.
{I used papers from the Blissful collection.}

When your adhesive is dry, trim the excess patterned paper from your lid. Put it on your jar, screw on the band, and you are finished!
{For these jars, I added twine from The Twinery and a pearl charm.}

Each finished jar costs less than $1!
As quick and inexpensive as these are they make great gifts for neighbors, family, and more.

If you'd like to decorate the tops of your jars a little more, grab your various Authentique Paper die cuts (Tabloids, Icons, Excerpts, Noteables, etc.) and add them with some dimensional adhesive for a little extra something.
Or if you don't want to add anything to the top, punch a little hole in the corner of your die cut and thread it with twine to tie it to the side of your jar for a quick and easy tag!

You can fill these jars with many different things to make great gifts.
I will be filling these with candy and sending them to a few family members, but these would also be great filled with some easy jar mixes or homemade bath salts.

Cheers to creating gifts from the heart this holiday season!

Supplies:
Patterned Paper: Authentique Paper (Blissful Collection - Happiness, Paradise, Felicity);
Twine: The Twinery (Charcoal, Buttercream);
Other: Pearl;
Tools: Fiskars (Scissors);

I love this idea as a storage for my scrapbook room! I've been trying to collect glass containers but with this idea they'd all match, sort of. Thanks for the inspiration.
