Jolly Tags and Mini {Fiskars}

I just want to start off by saying, I LOVE the Simple Stick stamps from Fiskars!
I prefer clear or cling stamps because they are so much easier to store than wood blocks (aka - I can fit a whole lot more in a small space!) and so easy to use because you can easily see where you will be stamping.

The Simple Stick stamps combine the beautiful stamping quality of traditional rubber stamps with the easy to use clear blocks. Love it!

When I received the winter themed stamp sets, I immediately saw the possibility for lots of tags (and lots of fun coloring!). I created tags from some of the stamps in the Vintage Christmas and Season's Greetings sets.

Some I just used one stamp from the Season's Greetings set and colored each stamped image to create a tag, but for the Vintage Christmas tags I combined the corner flourish and sentiments to create a new look.

For the wreaths, I thought they would make great tags, but also they would be great as a winter-themed bookmark - just use your Fiskars craft knife (& a self-healing mat) to cut a portion of the center - just enough to allow it to hook on the edge of a book page.

I love the little penguins in the Winter Wishes sets, and I see so many possibilities for the snowflakes - I think they could make great, easy ornaments (just stamp in a fun color of ink and tie to your tree with a twine bow) and they would also make beautiful gift tags.

I decided to combine a few of the different snowflakes to create a patterned paper which I then used to create a little mini book. My kids LOVE to draw, so I think I will let them draw some cute winter scenes on the pages.

Thanks, Lead Fiskateer Tami, for allowing me to experience these great stamp sets...I hear them calling me to make some more tags in preparation for the holiday season!

Paint The Town Challenge {Market Street Stamps}

It's time for another Paint the Town challenge at Market Street Stamps!

I can honestly say I struggled with what to create for this color challenge. I love the color palette, but I had no idea where to take it. I decided to pull out the colors of solid cardstock that I thought matched it best and I pulled out a few embellishments in the same palette.

I used the new Grace background stamp as the star of the show.
{My jaw literally dropped when I saw this stamp. It is gorgeous!}

The "JOY" sentiment on the mini ticket is from the new Essential Holiday Elegance stamp set (I masked it from the "Comfort & Joy" sentiment).

Thank you for dropping by today...and don't forget to play along in the challenge!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Bazzill (Cinder, Love Potion, Iced Cocoa, French Vanilla);
Stamps: Market Street Stamps (Grace, Essential Holiday Elegance);
Ink: Tsukineko (Eggplant);
Accents: TIm Holtz (Mini Pin); Maya Road (Mini Ticket - Kraft, Trinket Pins - Triple Pearl);
Other: LittleRedCottage - etsy (Twill);
Tools: Fiskars (Trimmer, Scissors); Martha Stewart/EK Success (Scoring Board);

The Project:

I created a tag set with the new Market Street Stamps Honeycomb background and a sentiment from the Market Street Stamps Essential Holiday Elegance set.

The Honeycomb background naturally lends itself to a color palette featuring yellow, but I went with yellow and black on these tags for two reasons:
1 - I thought it would be fun to create tags that coordinate with the decorated gift jars I recently created.
2 - My mind went a little "punny" and when I was looking at the "Eat, Drink, & Be(e) Merry" sentiment I immediately thought it would be fun to do something "bee" themed.

I did a simple mask to merge the sentiment and background into one piece and then added a tape top border and finished them off with some twill and twine.

These tags were fairly simple to create and would be easy to mass produce. They would be fabulous attached to jars of homemade goodies or even honey. :o)

Sunny Hello

Ever since I first found out about Market Street Stamps I was drawn to their "Here Comes The Sun" background stamp...one of their first background stamps.

I still love it and the beautiful look it creates (especially with a little variation in the ink colors).

Here I paired it with a sentiment stamp from Unity Stamp Company to create a simple "Hello" card.

Cardstock: Georgia Pacific (White); Bazzill (Cardinal);
Stamps: Market Street Stamps (Here Comes The Sun); Unity (Hello My Friend);
Ink: Ranger (Dried Marigold, Spiced Marmelade, Mustard Seed);

Block Party {Market Street Stamps}

It's time for another release of new sets and backgrounds from Market Street Stamps!

Here is a little something I created using the new sentiment set {Essential Holiday Elegance}:

I created a quick tag set that will be perfect for the upcoming holiday season. I used one of the sentiments from the set on the front of the tag, and the front flap of the tag can be opened to reveal...

...the "to" and "from" portion of the tag.

These were quick, easy, and beautiful thanks to the great new sentiments from Market Street Stamps!

Be sure to head on over to the Market Street Stamps blog to read all about how you can join in on the Block Party (where you can win some fabulous free stamps and have a shot at being a Guest Designer for Market Street Stamps)!

Supplies:
Patterned Paper: Authentique Paper (Wonder Collection - Awe, Yearning, Foundations);
Stamps: Market Street Stamps (Essential Holiday Elegance);
Ink: Memento (Tuxedo Black);
Twine: The Twinery (Honeydew);

A Note To Say Hello

I'm back again with the same sentiment stamp from the guitar card I shared on Monday - but this card takes a different approach. I got messy with paint and added in some layered stamping to create a one-layer card with "dimension".

I don't get to get out my paint much, but it sure is fun. Give it a try!

Thanks for coming by!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Bazzill (Teal);
Stamps: American Crafts (sentiment); Claudine Hellmuth (frame from Decor-Clear, frame from Decor-Foam);
Ink: Memento (Tuxedo Black);
Paint: Folk Art (Yellow, White);
Tools: Fiskars (Trimmer, Scissors); Martha Stewart/EK Success (Scoring Board);
